  • Memoir 003 - September 2007 - Peter Entwistle FRAI - Early in 1926, Peter Entwistle applied for the post of Curator of Museums in Liverpool. Here is a transcript of his letter of application (from a photocopy provided by Liverpool Museum): This whole gives an interesting summary of Perter's life's work to that time, has exhibitions and travels, samples of references and finally his obituaries.
  • Memoir 002 - November 2005 - Clive Leyland performed at the EFHA AGM meeting in October 2005. He is a versatile and original English singer-songwriter, solo performer, recording artist, session musician and accompanist. His collection of songs centred on the North West of England, and in particular Bolton where he lives, hold many connections with the history of the Entwistle Family. Clive supplied us with this information about his songs and CDs.
  • Memoir 001 - May 2005 - Barbara Nightingale - A couple of weeks ago I received the attached memoir from EFHA member Eric Avebury. I haven't yet had time to read it in full, but some of the Entwisles it mentions had connections with the Loyd Entwisle Bank. He said: 'I attach a memorandum, transcribed from a note in the possession of Michael Sutton-Scott-Tucker of Riversbridge, Dartmouth, Devon, who inherited it from Entwisle ancestors. The author is 'H T' Bury, daughter of Frances Entwisle, the youngest daughter of James Entwisle and Mary Bury.'
